To the Editor:

On behalf of the State Bar of Georgia, I am pleased to recognize Erin H. Fowler on her appointment to the State Court of Forsyth County.

Judge Fowler brings nearly a decade of judicial experience and a longstanding commitment to serving her community to her new role. She has served on the Magistrate Court of Forsyth County since January 2017 and has also presided by designation in the Superior Court of the Bell-Forsyth Judicial Circuit and on an ad hoc basis in Forsyth County’s State and Juvenile courts.

Before joining the bench full time in 2024, Judge Fowler owned and operated Erin Fowler Law, P.C., where she handled domestic, juvenile and criminal cases. Her experience across multiple areas of law has provided her with a broad perspective on the legal needs of the community she serves.

Judge Fowler earned her bachelor’s degree in social science from Florida State University in 2005 and her Juris Doctor from Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School in 2012. While in law school, she received the Melissa Hamrick Scholarship and the Dean’s Award in recognition of her academic achievements.

A Forsyth County resident, Judge Fowler and her husband, Jeff, have two children and remain rooted in the community she has dedicated her career to serving.

The State Bar congratulates Judge Fowler on her appointment and wishes her continued success as she serves the people of Forsyth County and Georgia’s justice system.

Sincerely,

William C. “Bill” Gentry
President, State Bar of Georgia
