Parking at the State Bar

Free parking is available during business hours for members visiting and using the Bar Center. Members who park at the Bar Center must take a ticket and have it validated by State Bar security on the third floor of the Bar Center. You will need your Bar card and photo ID to receive validation. Because there are a limited number of parking spaces, free daily parking cannot be provided for lawyers who work in other downtown buildings. Free parking is also available on nights and weekends when the deck is open early for events by showing your Bar card and photo ID to the deck attendant. Without it, the standard parking fee may apply.

EV Charging Stations Located on Level 4

You asked. We listened. Six EV charging stations have been installed in the State Bar Parking Deck for your use. These Level 2 chargers are located on level 4 of the parking deck. Download the ACDI Energy app to get started. Charge rate is $.30/kWh plus $5/h idling charges.

Parking FAQs

How do I park at the Bar Center during normal business hours? (7 a.m. to 5 p.m.)

Members who park at the Bar Center for meetings and events must take a ticket and have it validated by State Bar security on the third floor of the Bar Center. You will need your Bar card and photo ID to receive validation. To exit the deck, you must have either a validated ticket or a credit card.

How do I park at the Bar Center for special events when the deck is open to the public?

If you attend a special event after hours when an attendant is present, you will present your Bar card and photo ID to the attendant for admittance into the deck.

I don’t have a Bar card. How do I get one?

If you need a replacement Bar card, you may login to the member only area of our website and click “Edit Personal Preferences.” You may also print a temporary card by clicking “(Print Temporary Card)” under “Personal Preferences.” If you need help ordering a Bar card, please contact our Membership Department at membership@gabar.org.

May I park at the Bar Center when the deck is closed?

Yes. If the parking deck is closed, you may still park at the Bar Center. Press the button on the kiosk to page Bar Security, give them your Bar number, and they will give you access into the deck. Please enter the Bar Center and go to the first floor security station to show them your Bar card and photo ID and receive validation. When exiting, they will open the gate for you. Please note, there may be a delay in answering your page, as security might be on rounds at the time.

What form of payment do you accept?

We no longer accept cash in the State Bar parking deck. Members must have a validated ticket. You can only exit the deck with a validated ticket (or credit card if you are not a member of the Bar).

What if I leave the deck after regular parking deck hours? (7 p.m. or later)

If you leave the deck after 7 p.m. and there is no attendant, you will press the button on the kiosk to page security, and they will open the gate for you. Please note, there may be a delay in answering your page, as security might be on rounds at the time.

May I leave my car overnight at the Bar Center?

Yes, you may leave your car overnight. Please enter the Bar Center and go to the first floor security station to show them your Bar card and receive validation. Let them know your car will be there overnight. Upon leaving, validations are only good for daily parking, so you will need to show the attendant or security your Bar card and photo ID and let them know you parked overnight, and they will let you out.

If I come to the Bar Center and the deck is full, what are other parking options?

Most days, there should be availability. If there's no availability, there are many parking options within a block or two of the Bar Center. You may zoom in on this map and see alternate parking suggestions.

If I’m a member, may I utilize the parking deck for daily parking?

No. Due to a limited amount of spaces, members who work in the vicinity of the Bar Center may not use the parking deck for daily parking. The parking deck is for the benefit of all our members who are visiting the area for business, meetings at the Bar Center or other use for special events.

What is the maximum height clearance for the parking deck?

The maximum height clearance for the parking deck is 6’8”. If your vehicle is taller than 6’8”, you will need to find alternate parking arrangements.

Please note the State Bar parking deck opens three hours before an event and closes one hour after an event.
