To the Editor:
On behalf of the State Bar of Georgia, I am writing to extend congratulations to Kellye C. Moore on her appointment to the Superior Court of the Houston Judicial Circuit.
Judge Moore brings extensive legal experience to the bench as managing partner of Walker, Hulbert, Gray and Moore LLP in Perry, where she has maintained a general civil litigation practice. She has also previously served as judge pro tempore for the Houston County Juvenile Court.
In addition to her private practice, Judge Moore has served as general counsel to the Georgia Sheriffs’ Association and the Constitutional Officers’ Association of Georgia, advising sheriffs, Superior Court clerks, probate judges and tax commissioners.
A Houston County resident, Judge Moore earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia and her law degree from Mercer University School of Law. Her experience in private practice, service to public officials across our state and previous experience on the bench will serve her well in this new role.
We congratulate Judge Moore on her appointment and wish her continued success as she serves the citizens of the Houston Judicial Circuit and Georgia’s justice system.
Sincerely,
William C. “Bill” Gentry
President, State Bar of Georgia
