State Bar welcomes Burnham to Southern Circuit bench

To the Editor:
On behalf of the State Bar of Georgia, I am writing to extend congratulations to W. Michael Burnham on his appointment to the Superior Court of the Southern Judicial Circuit of Georgia.
A lifelong resident of the Southern Judicial Circuit, Judge Burnham has built his legal career serving clients throughout the region. As a partner at Dodd & Burnham, he has practiced in domestic, criminal and civil matters and has extensive experience as a civil mediator, arbitrator and domestic relations mediator.
Judge Burnham earned his undergraduate degree from Valdosta State University and his law degree from Samford University’s Cumberland School of Law.
His broad legal experience and deep roots in the Southern Judicial Circuit will serve him well as he takes on this important responsibility. His appointment represents a new opportunity to continue his service to the communities he has called home throughout his life and legal career.
We congratulate Judge Burnham on his appointment and wish him well in his service to the citizens of the Southern Judicial Circuit and Georgia’s justice system.
