On behalf of the State Bar of Georgia, I am writing to congratulate the Honorable Brian K. Epps on his appointment to the Court of Appeals of Georgia.
The Court of Appeals plays a vital role in Georgia’s judicial system by ensuring the consistent and fair application of the law across our state. Judges serving on the court bring a wealth of legal knowledge, sound judgment and an unwavering commitment to justice. Judge Epps’ distinguished legal career and dedication to public service make him well prepared to take on this important responsibility.
For more than a decade, Judge Epps has served as a U.S. Magistrate Judge for the Southern District of Georgia, following a successful career in private practice representing clients in complex litigation. Beyond the courtroom, he has demonstrated a deep commitment to his community through leadership with nonprofit organizations, legal education and mentorship.
Judge Epps has earned the respect of colleagues throughout Georgia’s legal community through his professionalism, integrity and thoughtful approach to the law. His experience on the federal bench and his longstanding commitment to serving others will be valuable assets to the Court of Appeals and the citizens of Georgia.
We congratulate Judge Epps on this appointment and wish him continued success as he begins this new chapter of service to our state and its justice system.
