To the Editor:
On behalf of the State Bar of Georgia, I am writing to extend congratulations to attorney Steven G. Blackerby, partner with Brown Readdick Bumgartner Carter Strickland & Watkins LLP in Brunswick, on his appointment by Gov. Brian Kemp to serve as a Superior Court judge for the Brunswick Judicial Circuit, covering Appling, Camden, Glynn, Jeff Davis and Wayne counties.
Judge Blackerby will be well served by his 21 years of experience in the legal profession and justice system. In addition to his business, contract, property and personal injury law practice, he has served the public as city attorney for St. Marys and Kingsland and as county attorney for Brantley County.
By accepting this appointment, Judge Steven Blackerby demonstrates his continued commitment to serving the public and the justice system. We wish him well in this capacity of judicial leadership.
