To the Editor:
On behalf of the State Bar of Georgia, I am writing to extend congratulations to Columbia Judicial Circuit Assistant District Attorney Kristi Goodwin Connell on her appointment by Gov. Brian Kemp to serve as a Superior Court judge for the Augusta Judicial Circuit, covering Burke and Richmond counties.
Judge Connell will be well served by her 25 years of experience in the legal profession and justice system. Before serving as an assistant district attorney in Columbia County, she was a partner with the Connell Law Firm, where her practiced focused on civil, domestic and criminal defense matters. She began her legal career in the Augusta Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office, where she became chief assistant district attorney.
By accepting this appointment, Judge Kristi Connell demonstrates her continued commitment to serving the public and the justice system. We wish her well in this capacity of judicial leadership.
Sincerely,
Christopher P. Twyman
President, State Bar of Georgia
