Congratulations to New State Court Judge Donald Montgomery

To the Editor:

On behalf of the State Bar of Georgia, I am writing to extend congratulations to Bryan County Solicitor-General Donald L. Montgomery Jr. on his appointment by Gov. Brian Kemp to serve as a judge for the Bryan County State Court.

Judge Montgomery will be well served by his 20 years of experience in the legal profession and justice system. In addition to having prosecuted misdemeanor criminal cases in Bryan County State Court, is a partner in the law firm of Scheer, Montgomery & Call, P.C., in Savannah. With a background in law enforcement, he began his legal career as an assistant district attorney for the Eastern Judicial Circuit.

By accepting this appointment, Judge Donald Montgomery demonstrates his continued commitment to serving the public and the justice system. We wish him well in this capacity of judicial leadership.
