Congratulations to new West Georgia Circuit District Attorney Sarah Japour

To the Editor:
On behalf of the State Bar of Georgia, I would like to express congratulations to Tallapoosa Judicial Circuit Deputy Chief Assistant District Attorney Sarah S. Japour on her appointment by Gov. Brian Kemp to serve as district attorney for the newly created West Georgia Judicial Circuit, covering Carroll and Heard counties.
Ms. Japour will be well served by her 23 years of experience in the legal profession and justice system, all of which has been as a prosecutor and most of which was in Carroll and Heard counties, when she was a senior assistant district attorney for the Coweta Judicial Circuit.
By accepting this appointment, Ms. Japour demonstrates her continued commitment to serving the public and the justice system. We wish her well in her new position as district attorney.
