The State Bar remains open and fully operational during the World Cup (June 11–July 19). While onsite staff presence at the Bar Center may be limited, Bar staff will work remotely and be available during regular business hours via email and phone. Free parking for Bar members is available but not guaranteed due to public access. Please plan accordingly. More information can be found here.

Congratulations to Solicitor General Rebecca L. Jackson on state commission appointment

To the Editor:

On behalf of the State Bar of Georgia, I would like to offer congratulations to Carroll County Solicitor General Rebecca L. Jackson on her appointment by Gov. Brian Kemp to serve on the State Commission on Family Violence.

All Georgians will benefit from Ms. Jackson’s service on the commission, which works with communities and systems across the state to provide leadership in strengthening Georgia’s families by ending family violence.

Ms. Jackson’s acceptance of this appointment is evidence of her continued dedication to serving the public and the justice system. We wish her well in this new capacity of statewide leadership.
