To the Editor:

On behalf of the State Bar of Georgia, I would like to express congratulations to Piedmont Judicial Circuit Chief Assistant District Attorney Sarah J. Griffie on her appointment by Gov. Brian Kemp to serve as a Superior Court judge for the Piedmont Judicial Circuit, covering Banks, Barrow and Jackson counties.

Judge Griffie will be well served by her nearly 17 years of experience in the legal profession, all of which has been as a prosecutor in the Piedmont Circuit District Attorney’s Office. She has served as chief assistant district attorney since 2016.

By accepting this appointment, Judge Griffie demonstrates her continued commitment to serving the public and the justice system. We wish her well in this new capacity of judicial leadership.

Sincerely,

Ivy N. Cadle
President, State Bar of Georgia
