To the Editor:

On behalf of the State Bar of Georgia, I am writing to extend congratulations to Carolyn C. “Tippi” Burch of The Burch Firm LLC in Columbus on her appointment by Gov. Brian Kemp to serve as a Superior Court judge for the Chattahoochee Judicial Circuit, covering Chattahoochee, Harris, Marion, Muscogee, Talbot and Taylor counties.

Judge Burch will be well served by her 23 years of experience in the legal profession, including extensive practice in trial and appellate courts with King & Spalding LLP and Pak & Burch LLC in Atlanta and, most recently, as a solo practitioner in Columbus. She previously served as an assistant U.S. attorney for the Northern District of Georgia and is the current secretary of the Columbus Bar Association.

By accepting this appointment, Judge Burch demonstrates her continued commitment to serving the public and the justice system. We wish her well in this capacity of judicial leadership.

Sincerely,

J. Antonio “Tony” DelCampo
President, State Bar of Georgia
