Daily Report

To the Editor:

On behalf of the State Bar of Georgia, I am writing to extend condolences to the family, colleagues and many friends of longtime Atlanta attorney Everette Doffermyre Jr. on his passing at the age of 75.

A Georgia Bar member since 1973, Mr. Doffermyre began his legal career with the Kilpatrick law firm in Atlanta as a corporate litigator. In 1987, he founded and embarked on more than 30 years of service as managing partner of Doffermyre, Shields, Canfield & Knowles, a preeminent litigation boutique firm.

Mr. Doffermyre was a member of Leadership Atlanta and served as a trustee of various local, state and national charities and his alma mater, the University of Virginia, as president of the Alumni Association and in numerous other leadership capacities.

Everette Doffermyre will be missed and fondly remembered by his fellow members of Georgia’s legal community. We appreciate his career-long dedication and the many contributions he made through his service to the public and the justice system.

Sincerely,

J. Antonio “Tony” DelCampo
President, State Bar of Georgia
