Congratulations to new Superior Court Judge Barry Fleming

To the Editor:
On behalf of the State Bar of Georgia, I am writing to extend congratulations to state Rep. Barry A. Fleming of Fleming & Nelson LLP in Evans on his appointment by Gov. Brian Kemp to serve as a Superior Court judge for the Columbia Judicial Circuit, covering Columbia County.
Judge Fleming will be well served by his nearly 30 years of experience in the legal profession. He has served in the Georgia House of Representatives since 2013, as well as from 2003 through 2009, serving as chair of the House Judiciary Committee and House majority whip. He also serves on the Columbia Circuit Public Defender’s Oversight Panel.
By accepting this appointment, Judge Fleming demonstrates his continued commitment to serving the public and the justice system. We wish him well in this capacity of judicial leadership.
