To the Editor:
On behalf of the State Bar of Georgia, I am writing to extend congratulations to former Supreme Court of Georgia Chief Justice Harold Melton on his new position as special adviser to the dean for institutional engagement at Georgia State University College of Law.
As GSU College of Law’s first expert in resident, Justice Melton’s presence is sure to create many opportunities for students to develop significant, meaningful connections that will aid them in their future law practice.
A member of the State Bar since 1991, Justice Melton most recently served as a partner in the Atlanta office of Troutman Pepper Locke.
By accepting this new position at Georgia State University College of Law, Justice Melton demonstrates his commitment to the success of our state’s future lawyers. We wish him well in this exciting and worthwhile endeavor.
