Congratulations and thanks to Judge Steve Jenkins

To the Editor:
On behalf of the State Bar of Georgia, I am writing to extend congratulations and thanks to Elbert County State Court Judge John Stephen “Steve” Jenkins on his retirement after serving in that position since 2013.
A Georgia Bar member since 1970, Judge Jenkins has practiced law in Elberton for nearly four decades and serves as city attorney for Elberton. During a special ceremony marking his retirement from the State Court bench, a portrait of Judge Jenkins was unveiled, which will appropriately be hung in the Elbert County Courthouse.
We salute Judge Jenkins on his distinguished tenure of service to the people of Elbert County and his many contributions to the betterment of our justice system. We wish him well in the years ahead.
