Congratulations to new Worth County Solicitor General Elizabeth Torres

To the Editor:

On behalf of the State Bar of Georgia, I am writing to extend congratulations to Elizabeth W. Torres of Wilmot & Powell in Tifton on her appointment by Gov. Brian Kemp to serve as solicitor general for Worth County.

Ms. Torres will be well served by her five years of experience in the legal profession, including service as solicitor for the Municipal Courts of Tifton and Lenox. In addition to her prosecutorial work, she practices a wide variety of civil litigation, including family law and matters pending in Probate Court.

By accepting this appointment, Elizabeth Torres demonstrates her continued commitment to serving the public and the justice system. We wish her well in this capacity of prosecutorial leadership.
