Congratulations to Assistant District Attorney James Chafin on appointment

To the Editor:

On behalf of the State Bar of Georgia, I am writing to extend congratulations to Piedmont Judicial Circuit Assistant District Attorney James V. Chafin on his appointment by Gov. Brian Kemp to serve on Georgia’s Sexual Offender Registration Review Board.

All Georgians will benefit from Mr. Chafin’s service on the board, which works to protect Georgia’s children and communities at large by identifying convicted sexual offenders who present the greatest risk of reoffending.

By accepting this appointment, Mr. Chafin demonstrates his continued commitment to serving the public and the justice system. We wish him well in this new capacity of statewide leadership.
