Congratulations to new Gwinnett State Court Judge Jaletta Long Smith

To the Editor:

The State Bar of Georgia congratulates Jaletta Long Smith of Andersen, Tate & Carr, P.C., in Duluth on her appointment by Gov. Brian Kemp to serve as a judge for the State Court of Gwinnett County.

Judge Smith will be well served by her nine years of experience in the legal profession, including service as a law clerk to jurists in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Arkansas, the Supreme Court of Georgia and the Supreme Court of Arkansas and private practice as a litigation associate at Andersen, Tate & Carr.

By accepting this new role, Judge Smith demonstrates a commitment to serving the justice system in Gwinnett County. We wish her well as a State Court judge.
