Cobb Attorneys Re-Elected to Board of Governors of State Bar of Georgia

Atlanta – Katie Kiihnl Leonard of The Leonard Firm, C. Lee Davis of Lee Davis Law LLC, Dawn R. Levine of Georgia Wills Trusts & Probate Firm LLC and William C. Gentry of Gentry Law Firm LLC, all of Marietta, were re-elected to serve on the Board of Governors of the 52,000-member State Bar of Georgia. They were installed June 4.

Leonard will continue to serve in the Cobb Judicial Circuit, Post 1 seat on the board. She earned her law degree from the University of Memphis School of Law and was admitted to the State Bar of Georgia in 2009. Her law practice is dedicated exclusively to family law. Leonard is a past president of the Young Lawyers Division of the Cobb County Bar Association.

Davis will continue to serve in the Post 3 seat from the Cobb Circuit. He is a graduate of the Georgia State University College of Law and joined the State Bar in 1997. His law practice is focused primarily in the areas of commercial litigation and real estate litigation. He is a past chair and trustee of the State Bar of Georgia Client Security Fund.

Levine will continue to serve in the Post 5 seat from the Cobb Circuit. She graduated from Emory University Law School and became a State Bar member in 2006. Her law practice is focused on estate planning and probate matters, including wills, revocable living trusts, complex tax planning and charitable giving. She is a past president of the Cobb County Bar Association.

Gentry will continue to serve in the Post 7 seat from the Cobb Circuit. He earned his law degree from the University of Georgia School of Law and was admitted to the State Bar in 1986. His law practice is focused in the area of family law, including divorce, high asset property division, child custody and alimony cases. He also serves on the State Bar’s Executive Committee, chairs the State Bar’s Senior Lawyers Committee and is a past president of the Cobb County Bar Association.

The Board of Governors is the 160-member policymaking authority of the State Bar, with representation from each of Georgia’s judicial circuits. The board holds regular meetings at least four times per year.
