Congratulations to new Court of Appeals Judge Jeffrey Watkins

To the Editor:
The State Bar of Georgia congratulates attorney Cherokee Judicial Circuit Superior Court Judge Jeffrey A. Watkins of Cartersville on his appointment by Gov. Brian Kemp to serve as a judge on the Court of Appeals of Georgia.
Judge Watkins will be well served in his new position by his 31 years of experience in the legal profession and justice system, mostly in private practice before his appointment in 2019 as a judge for the Superior Courts of the Cherokee Circuit, which covers Bartow and Gordon counties.
Judge Watkins continues his service to the public and the justice system by accepting this appointment. We wish him well in this position of statewide judicial leadership.
