CLE providers are required to pay $4 per hour per attendee for courses held in Georgia. For seminars held outside of Georgia if the CLE provider elects not to pay the $4 per hour fee, then the attorney receiving credit for the hours will be required to pay the fee.
Attorneys’ 2025 CLE requirement should have been completed by the grace period deadline of March 31, 2026. A $100 late fee will be due if the 2025 CLE requirement is not complete by March 31, 2026. All CLE hours can be completed by approved in-person or distance learning CLE programs.
Beginning in 2026, Georgia will have a biennial compliance period (every two years) instead of an annual requirement. The 2026-27 CLE deadline is Dec. 31, 2027. A $200 late fee will be due if the 2026-27 CLE requirement is not complete by the deadline.
