Join us for a full-day Continuing Legal Education program on Elder Law, covering fundamental tools and advanced planning strategies. This event, hosted by the Elder Law Section, offers morning and afternoon sessions packed with practical insights for estate planning and elder law attorneys. Morning sessions (9 a.m. – 12 p.m.) will focus on elder law fundamentals, while afternoon sessions (12:30 – 3:30 p.m.) delve into advanced topics and interactive discussions. Breakfast and sign-in will begin at 8:30 a.m. Lunch will also be provided, offering a great opportunity to network with colleagues.

• Non-Probate Asset Transfers – Efficiently transferring assets (vehicles, beneficiary-designated accounts, etc.) outside of probate
  
• Lunch Break (12 – 12:30 p.m.) – Lunch provided by the Elder Law Section. Great time to network and discuss morning lessons.
  
• Long-Term Care Options – Guidance on assisted living, memory care, and nursing home placement when clients can no longer remain at home
• Working with Allied Professionals – Relationship management with other attorneys, care facility caseworkers, financial advisors, bankers, and more to better serve elder clients.
• Medicaid Bootcamp – A high-level overview of Georgia’s Medicaid rules & regulations, including a case study on obtaining care for “improbable” candidates through creative planning.
• Elder Law Practice Panel – An interactive panel discussion on elder law resources and best practices, and how to successfully expand or transition an existing law practice into elder law (featuring Paul Hamilton and other experts)
