Please join us on Monday, March 16th at noon at the offices of Nelson Mullins, Suite 1700, 201 17th St. NW (Atlantic Station), Atlanta, GA, for a program on Navigating Changes in EU and Brazilian Privacy and AI Laws.
Speakers:
This presentation will offer a timely, practical overview of how rapidly evolving privacy and AI laws are reshaping cross‑border business in Europe and Latin America. Attendees will receive guidance on recent updates to Brazil’s General Data Protection Law (LGPD), including Brazil’s new international data transfer clauses, and how those changes affect companies operating in or receiving data from Brazil.
The session will also include an update on the EU’s “Digital Omnibus” developments and what they signal for the future of the GDPR and the EU AI Act. Beyond jurisdiction‑specific updates, the presentation will address the practical and legal challenges of moving data across borders—particularly among the U.S., Europe and Latin America—and highlights common friction points such as contracting, regulatory expectations, and enforcement risk. Lastly, this panel will provide insights on how companies can navigate these difficult issues by providing recommendations on best practices and risk mitigation strategies.
