For more than four decades, I have practiced law in Georgia with deep respect for our profession, our courts and the rule of law. In my career, I have had the privilege to represent individuals, businesses, lawyers and institutions in moments of crisis and consequence—work that has reinforced my belief that the integrity of our legal system depends on civility, competence and accountability at every level.
Service to the Bar has been a constant priority. I have served the State Bar of Georgia as a member of the Disciplinary Review Board for five years, including as vice chair, and more recently on the statewide Business Court Committee. Bar leadership requires careful listening, even-handed decision-making and a willingness to engage difficult issues with fairness and candor. I have also devoted significant time to the bar in national and local legal organizations focused on professionalism, mentoring and the administration of justice.
Today, our profession faces real challenges. Public confidence in lawyers and courts is under strain. Civility and respect—among counsel, toward the judiciary, and in the public square—are too often diminished. At the same time, emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, combined with economic uncertainty, are reshaping how we practice law and serve clients. These challenges demand thoughtful, experienced leadership grounded in principle rather than partisanship.
The State Bar of Georgia has long played a vital role in upholding professionalism, supporting judges and court personnel, and reinforcing the rule of law. I am committed to continuing that work—working collaboratively with lawyers across practice settings, generations, and viewpoints to strengthen our profession and restore public trust.
I ask for your vote because I bring to this role long-standing experience, steady judgment and a demonstrated commitment to serving lawyers across our state, and I respectfully ask for your support.
