To the Editor:
On behalf of the State Bar of Georgia, I am writing to extend congratulations to Justin R. Arnold on his appointment to the State Court of Sumter County.
Judge Arnold brings broad legal experience to the bench through years of service in both private practice and public service. As a partner with Arnold & Hooks, LLC, he has represented clients in civil, criminal, probate and domestic matters throughout southwest Georgia.
Earlier in his career, Judge Arnold served as an assistant district attorney in the Southwestern Judicial Circuit, where he handled traffic prosecutions and represented the district attorney's office in Drug Court. He has also served as municipal court judge for the City of Ideal.
Judge Arnold earned his bachelor's degree from Millsaps College and his J.D. from Mercer University Walter F. George School of Law. His varied legal experience and commitment to serving his community will serve him well in this important role.
We congratulate Judge Arnold on his appointment and wish him continued success as he serves the citizens of Sumter County and Georgia's justice system.
Sincerely,
William C. “Bill” Gentry
President, State Bar of Georgia
