To the Editor:

On behalf of the State Bar of Georgia, I am writing to extend congratulations to Pembroke attorney John D. Harvey on his appointment by Gov. Brian Kemp to serve as solicitor general for Bryan County.

Mr. Harvey will be well served by his 29 years of experience in the legal profession and justice system. In addition to his private law practice, he has served as judge of the Pembroke Municipal Court, as assistant district attorney for the Atlantic Judicial Circuit, county attorney for Bryan County and as a judge pro tempore for the Bryan County State Court.

By accepting this appointment, John Harvey demonstrates his continued commitment to serving the public and the justice system. We wish him well in this capacity of prosecutorial leadership.

Sincerely,

Christopher P. Twyman
President, State Bar of Georgia
