Public Defender Re-Elected to Executive Committee of State Bar of Georgia

Atlanta – Hall County Chief Assistant Public Defender Nicki N. Vaughan was re-elected to serve on the Executive Committee of the 52,000-member State Bar of Georgia on June 13.

Vaughan also serves in the Northeastern Judicial Circuit, Post 2 seat on the Board of Governors of the State Bar and chairs the State Bar’s Indigent Defense Committee and Child Protection & Advocacy Section. She earned her law degree from the Georgia State University College of Law and was admitted to the State Bar of Georgia in 1994.

The Board of Governors of the State Bar elects six of its members to serve on the Executive Committee with the organization’s officers. The Executive Committee meets monthly and exercises the power of the Board of Governors when the board is not in session.
