Atlanta – C. Sutton Connelly of Cook & Connelly in Summerville and Archibald A. Farrar Jr. of Farrar & Corbin P.C. in Summerville were re-elected to serve on the Board of Governors of the 52,000-member State Bar of Georgia. Both were installed June 13.
Farrar will continue to serve in the Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit, Post 1 seat on the board, representing Catoosa, Chattooga, Dade and Walker counties. He earned his law degree from the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University and was admitted to the State Bar of Georgia in 1974. His law practice is focused in the areas of real estate law, civil litigation, corporate and probate matters. He has served as city attorney for Menlo and as county attorney for Chattooga County.
Connelly will serve in the Post 3 seat from the Lookout Mountain Circuit. He is a graduate of the Georgia State University College of Law and joined the State Bar in 2009. His law practice is focused in the areas of personal injury and criminal defense. He serves on the State Disciplinary Board of the State Bar.
The Board of Governors is the 160-member policymaking authority of the State Bar, with representation from each of Georgia’s judicial circuits. The board holds regular meetings at least four times per year.
