Jay Roberts Re-Elected to Board of Governors of State Bar of Georgia

Orlando, Florida – James L. “Jay” Roberts IV of Roberts Tate LLC on Saint Simons Island was re-elected to serve on the Board of Governors of the 50,000-member State Bar of Georgia and was installed June 8 during the organization’s Annual Meeting.

Roberts will continue to serve in the Brunswick Judicial Circuit, Post 1 seat on the board, representing Appling, Camden, Glynn, Jeff Davis and Wayne counties. He earned his law degree from the University of Georgia School of Law and was admitted to the State Bar of Georgia in 2001. His law practice is focused in the areas of civil litigation, risk management and corporate matters, and he is a past president of the Glynn County Bar Association.

The Board of Governors is the 160-member policymaking authority of the State Bar, with representation from each of Georgia’s judicial circuits. The board holds regular meetings at least four times per year.
