Tom Peterson Re-Elected to Board of Governors of State Bar of Georgia

Orlando, Florida – Thomas A. “Tom” Peterson IV, managing partner of the Law Firm of Tom A. Peterson IV LLC in Vidalia, was re-elected to serve on the Board of Governors of the 50,000-member State Bar of Georgia and was installed June 8 during the organization’s Annual Meeting.

Peterson will serve in the Middle Judicial Circuit, Post 2 seat on the board, representing Candler, Emanuel, Jefferson, Toombs and Washington counties. He earned his law degree from the Walter F. George School of Law at Mercer University and was admitted to the State Bar of Georgia in 2002. His law practice is focused on criminal defense, civil litigation, municipal law, real estate law, immigration law and workers’ compensation law.

The Board of Governors is the 160-member policymaking authority of the State Bar, with representation from each of Georgia’s judicial circuits. The board holds regular meetings at least four times per year.
