Bert Hummel Installed as President of State Bar of Georgia Young Lawyers Division

ATLANTA – Norbert “Bert” D. Hummel, IV, a partner in the Atlanta office of Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith LLP, was installed as the 74th president of the Young Lawyers Division (YLD) of the State Bar of Georgia on June 12 at a swearing-in ceremony conducted by Justice Keith Blackwell.

Hummel is a graduate of the Mercer University Walter F. George School of Law, earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia, and was admitted to the State Bar of Georgia in 2012. His law practice is primarily focused in the areas of general liability, insurance defense, and workers’ compensation.

Hummel and his wife, Christina, live in the Glenwood Park neighborhood of Atlanta, with their daughter, Mary Olivia and Great Dane, Ponce. He has served in several leadership positions within the State Bar of Georgia and is a past president of the Younger Lawyers Division of the Cobb County Bar Association. He has also served as secretary, treasurer and, for the past year, as president-elect of the YLD.
