By Brian D. "Buck" Rogers

Coastal Courier, Hinesville

To the Editor:

On behalf of the State Bar of Georgia, I would like to express congratulations to attorneys Mark A. Hendrix of Richmond Hill and Billy J. Nelson Jr. of Hinesville on their recent appointments by Gov. Nathan Deal to serve as solicitors general for the State Courts of Liberty County and Long County, respectively.

Mr. Hendrix will be well served in his new position by his more than 16 years of experience in the legal profession, including his service as solicitor general in Long County. As Mr. Hendrix's successor, Mr. Nelson brings eight years of legal experience, including service as an assistant district attorney for the Atlantic Judicial Circuit.

Mr. Hendrix's and Mr. Nelson's acceptance of these posts is evidence of their continued dedication to serving the public and the justice system. We wish them well in their new positions.

Sincerely,
Brian D. "Buck" Rogers

President, State Bar of Georgia
