To the Editor:

The State Bar of Georgia congratulates Cobb County Superior Court Judges Lark Ingram and Stephen Schuster on the recent announcements of their plans to retire at the end of this year, and we thank them both for their distinguished service to the people of Cobb County and the state of Georgia.

Judge Ingram, a 42-year member of the State Bar of Georgia, was a Cobb County State Court judge when she was appointed to the Superior Court in 1995 and, before that, was an assistant U.S. Attorney in the Northern District of Georgia. Judge Schuster, who was admitted to the State Bar in 1976, will have served 16 years on the Cobb Superior Court bench when his retirement becomes effective, and he previously served as a prosecutor, Juvenile Court judge and president of the Cobb County Bar Association.

Their colleagues in the Georgia legal community appreciate the many contributions Judges Ingram and Schuster have made through their service to the public and the justice system. We wish them well in the years ahead.
