To the Editor:
On behalf of the State Bar of Georgia, I would like to express congratulations to Christopher A. Wray of King & Spalding LLP in Atlanta on his nomination by President Donald Trump and decisive confirmation by the U.S. Senate to serve as director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
With eight years of prior experience as a federal prosecutor, including service as assistant U.S. attorney for the Northern District of Georgia and later as assistant attorney general in charge of the Criminal Division of the U.S. Department of Justice, Mr. Wray is well qualified to take over the nation’s top law enforcement agency. He will further benefit from his recent tenure as chairman of King & Spalding’s Special Matters and Government Investigations Practice Group.
Mr. Wray’s acceptance of this important position is evidence of his continued dedication to public service and upholding the rule of law. His fellow members of the State Bar of Georgia wish him well in this new capacity of national leadership.
Brian D. “Buck” Rogers
President, State Bar of Georgia
