To the Editor:

On behalf of the State Bar of Georgia, I would like to express congratulations to Senior Superior Court Judge William E. Woodrum Jr. of Millen on the occasion of his recent retirement from full-time service as chief judge for the Ogeechee Judicial Circuit and thank him for his service to the people of Bulloch, Effingham, Jenkins and Screven counties.

During his distinguished career of nearly four decades as a member of the State Bar of Georgia, Judge Woodrum has served 22 years as a Superior Court judge and the past 17 years as chief judge for the Ogeechee Circuit, in addition to previous service as judge of the Jenkins County State Court.

We also salute the members of the Statesboro-Bulloch County Bar Association for holding a dinner recently to honor Judge Woodrum and welcome his successor in the Ogeechee Circuit, Judge Lovett Bennett Jr. We add our applause in recognition of Judge Woodrum’s service to the public and the justice system and wish him well in the years ahead.
