To the Editor:

On behalf of the State Bar of Georgia, I would like to express congratulations to Edward D. “Ed” Tolley of Cook & Tolley LLP in Athens on his recent reappointment by Gov. Nathan Deal to serve on the Georgia Judicial Qualifications Commission (JQC).

All Georgians will benefit from Mr. Tolley’s service on the JQC, which investigates complaints of judicial misconduct on a statewide basis. He has recently served as chairman of the commission and is also vice chairman of the Georgia Public Defenders Council. He is a member of the Board of Governors of the State Bar of Georgia, a life fellow of the American Bar Foundation and a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers.

Mr. Tolley’s acceptance of this reappointment is evidence of his continued dedication to serving the public and justice system. We wish him well in this new term of statewide leadership.

President, State Bar of Georgia
