To the Editor:

On behalf of the State Bar of Georgia, I am writing to extend congratulations to Alapaha Judicial Circuit District Attorney Richard L. “Dick” Perryman III on his appointment by Gov. Brian Kemp to serve as a Superior Court judge for the Alapaha Circuit, covering Atkinson, Berrien, Clinch, Cook and Lanier counties.

Judge Perryman will be well served in his new position by his 19 years of experience in the legal profession, including the past eight years as district attorney, previous work in private practice and prior service as a member of the Nashville City Council.

By accepting this appointment, Judge Perryman demonstrates his continued commitment to serving the public and the justice system. We wish him well in this new capacity of judicial leadership.
