To the Editor:
On behalf of the State Bar of Georgia, I would like to express congratulations to attorney James L. “Jim” Pannell of Gray Pannell & Woodward LLP in Savannah on his recent reappointment by Gov. Nathan Deal to serve on the Center for Rural Prosperity and Georgia Rural Development Council.
All Georgians will benefit from Mr. Pannell’s service on the council, which aims to address the needs of rural Georgia by studying “the conditions, needs, issues, and problems affecting rural economic development as well as examining related policy areas which may include population studies, access to health care, infrastructure, education, unemployment, and economic growth incentives.”
With his acceptance of this appointment, Mr. Pannell, a former member of the Georgia House of Representatives, demonstrates his continued commitment to serving the public. We wish him well in this new capacity of statewide leadership.
