To the Editor:

The State Bar of Georgia congratulates former Cobb County Senior Assistant District Attorney Brendan F. Murphy on his appointment by the Superior Court judges of the Cobb Judicial Circuit to serve as the county’s new chief magistrate judge.

Judge Murphy brings 11 years of experience in the legal profession to his new position, including the past 5½ years with the district attorney’s office. After beginning his career in the private practice of law, he also served as an assistant solicitor-general in Cobb County State Court.

Judge Murphy continues to demonstrate his commitment to serving the public and the justice system, and his fellow members of the State Bar of Georgia wish him well in this new role.
