To the Editor:
On behalf of the State Bar of Georgia, I would like to express congratulations to Rachel R. Krause, partner with Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith LLP, and DeKalb County Chief Deputy District Attorney Emily K. Richardson, both of Atlanta, on their recent appointments by Gov. Nathan Deal to serve as Superior Court judges for the Atlanta Judicial Circuit, covering Fulton County.
Judge Krause will be well served by her 17 years of experience in the legal profession, specializing in litigation and complex corporate, contract and injury disputes. She is a past president of the Atlanta Society of Human Resource Managers and a past chair of the State Bar’s Law-Related Education Committee.
Judge Richardson has been a member of the State Bar for 12 years and leads the Appellate Unit of the DeKalb County District Attorney’s Office.
By accepting these appointments, Judge Krause and Judge Richardson demonstrate their commitment to serving the public and the justice system. We wish them well in this new capacity of judicial leadership.
