To the Editor:
The State Bar of Georgia extends condolences to the family, colleagues and many friends of retired Richmond County Civil & Magistrate Court Judge William D. Jennings III, whose untimely passing March 10 has left us all saddened.
A member of the State Bar of Georgia since 1978, Judge Jennings was active in the private practice of law prior to his appointment as chief judge of the Civil & Magistrate Court, a position he held for 33 years. Attorneys who appeared in front of Judge Jennings remembered him for his patience, temperament and integrity.
Judge William Jennings will be missed and fondly remembered by Georgia’s legal community. We appreciate the many contributions he made during his admirable career and his exemplary service to the public and the justice system.
