To the Editor:

The State Bar of Georgia extends condolences to the family, colleagues and many friends of longtime Savannah attorney Samuel P. “Sam” Inglesby Jr., whose passing April 5 has left us all saddened.

Admitted to the Georgia Bar in 1964, Mr. Inglesby’s career in the legal profession spanned 47 years and included public service as an assistant district attorney and professional service as president of the Savannah Bar Association. He retired in 2011 as senior partner of the Inglesby, Falligant, Horne, Courington & Chisholm law firm.

Sam Inglesby Jr. will be missed and fondly remembered by Georgia’s legal community. We appreciate his longstanding, exemplary service and the many contributions he made to the public and justice system during his admirable career.
