To the Editor:
The State Bar of Georgia extends condolences to the family, colleagues and many friends of longtime Carrollton attorney Tommy Greer, whose tragic passing March 1 has left us all saddened.
A member of the State Bar of Georgia since 1975, Tommy was a longtime partner of Greer Tisinger, where he represented both defendants and plaintiffs in civil cases, practiced family law and served as Carroll County’s first specifically designated Juvenile Court judge from 1984 to 1996. A servant to more than just the legal community, Tommy served his faith community as a lay minister, recently retiring as pastor of Victory United Methodist Church for 20 years.
Tommy will be missed and fondly remembered by Georgia’s legal community. We appreciate the many contributions he made during his admirable career and his exemplary service to the public, the justice system, and the West Georgia community.
President, State Bar of Georgia
