To the Editor:
On behalf of the State Bar of Georgia, I would like to express congratulations to Dougherty Judicial Circuit Superior Court Judge Stephen S. Goss of Albany on receiving the 2018 Emory Findley Award, presented recently by the Council of Superior Court Judges of Georgia.
Judge Goss is well deserving of the prestigious honor, given his distinguished service as chair of the Council of Accountability Courts of Georgia, which includes 149 drug courts, mental health courts, veterans' treatment courts, DUI courts and family dependency treatment court programs across the state. He is also a longtime faculty member of the National Judicial College and National Drug Court Institute and past president of the Council of Superior Court Judges of Georgia.
The Emory Findley Award annually recognizes a judge who exhibits outstanding judicial service in all areas. We salute Judge Goss on receiving the honor and add our appreciation for his many contributions to the justice system in Georgia.
