To the Editor:
The State Bar of Georgia extends condolences to the family, colleagues and many friends of longtime Savannah attorney David H. Fritts, whose passing March 29 at the age of 97 has left us all saddened.
A member of America’s “Greatest Generation,” Mr. Fritts served his country in the Army during World War II. Admitted to the Georgia Bar in 1951, he returned to his hometown of Savannah and embarked on a practice of civil and family law that continued for more than 57 years. He remained active in the Savannah Bar Association and enjoyed the annual lawyers’ boat ride until he was 90 years old.
David Fritts will be missed and fondly remembered by Georgia’s legal community. We appreciate his longstanding, exemplary service and the many contributions he made to the public and justice system during his admirable career.
