On behalf of the Young Lawyers Division (YLD) of the State Bar of Georgia, I would like to express appreciation to all participating attorneys, judges and staff members for their contributions to the success of the ninth annual Georgia Legal Food Frenzy. A special salute goes to the following winning organizations in the statewide, divisional and regional competitions:
Attorney General’s Cup: Joe S. Habachy P.C., Attorney at Law, Atlanta, for the third consecutive year, with 86,682 points per person.
Bar President’s Cup: Greenberg Traurig LLP, Atlanta, with a record-setting 212,914 total points.
Corporate, In-House Counsel: Serta Simmons Bedding LLC, Doraville, 74,198 total points and 7,420 points per person.
Legal Organization: Georgia Tech Office of the General Counsel, Atlanta, 83,488 total points and 2,319 points per person.

Medium Firm (21-100 employees): Coleman Talley LLP, Valdosta, 201,600 total points and 3,200 points per person.
Small Firm (3-20 employees): Johnson & Ward, Atlanta, 44,750 total points, and Jenkins & Roberts LLC, College Park, 11,400 points per person.
Sole Proprietor (1-2 employees): Deborah H. Harris, Attorney At Law LLC, Marietta, 40,199 total points and points per person.
America’s Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia (Regional): Bouhan Falligant LLP, Savannah, total points; and Edenfield Trial Law, Statesboro, per capita.
Atlanta Community Food Bank (Regional): Alston & Bird LLP, Atlanta, total points; and Page Perry, Atlanta, per capita.
Chattanooga Area Food Bank (Regional): The Cowan Law Firm LLC, Dalton, total points and per capita; and Law Office of Samuel Gowin, Chattanooga, Tennessee, runner-up, both categories.
Feeding the Valley Food Bank (Regional): Aflac, Columbus, total points; and Donald R. Cleveland, Attorney, West Point, per capita.
Food Bank of Northeast Georgia (Regional): Blasingame Burch Garrard Ashley P.C., Athens, total points; and Silver & Archibald LLP, Athens, per capita.
Georgia Mountain Food Bank (Regional): Whelchel Dunlap Jarrard & Walker LLP, Gainesville, total points; and R.K. Adams Law LLC, Dahlonega, per capita.
Golden Harvest Food Bank (Regional): Durham Law Firm P.C., Evans, total points and per capita; Fulcher Hagler LLP, Augusta, total points runner-up; and The Law Offices of Nathan M. Jolles P.C., Augusta, per capita runner-up.
Middle Georgia Community Food Bank (Regional): The Law Offices of Connie L. Williford, Macon, total points and per capita; Middle Georgia Association of Women Lawyers, total points runner-up; and Noland Law Firm LLC, Macon, per capita runner-up.
Second Harvest Food Bank (Regional): Tifton Bar Association, total points and per capita.
A total of 222 law firms and legal organizations, representing more than 17,000 members, participated in this year’s Legal Food Frenzy, which took place during April and May and brought in a record-breaking total of $852,090, providing 3.3 million meals statewide.
Along with Georgia Attorney General Chris Carr, the Georgia YLD is honored to co-sponsor this project to assist the Georgia Food Bank Association and its regional food banks. We have now raised the equivalent of 12.2 million meals in nine years.
Thanks again to each attorney and legal professional who joined us for this important cause. We are proud to help lead an effort that has such a significant impact on communities across Georgia.
