On behalf of the State Bar of Georgia, I would like to express congratulations to Jason E. Downey, senior trial attorney with the Law Office of Nancy Phillips in Macon and staff counsel for Allstate, Encompass and Esurance Insurance companies, on his recent appointment by Gov. Brian Kemp to serve in the 8th Congressional District post on the State Board of Education.
All Georgians will benefit from Mr. Downey’s service on the board, which provides statewide leadership for all of the state’s public school districts. He has previously served on the Macon-Bibb County Board of Education and on the Dames Ferry Elementary School Council.
With his acceptance of this appointment, Jason Downey demonstrates his continued commitment to serving the public. We wish him well in this new capacity of statewide leadership.
