On behalf of the State Bar of Georgia, I would like to express congratulations to Denise Cleveland-Leggett of the Leggett Law Group P.C. in Duluth on her recent appointment by U.S. Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Secretary Ben Carson to serve as the department’s regional administrator for Region IV, covering eight Southeastern states, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Ms. Cleveland-Leggett will be well served in her new position by her 27 years of experience in the legal profession, extensive involvement in the public and private sectors and leadership in numerous community and professional organizations. She was honored in 2009 with the State Bar of Georgia’s Justice Robert Benham Award for Community Service.
Ms. Cleveland-Leggett’s acceptance of this appointment is evidence of her continued dedication to serving the public. Her fellow members of the State Bar of Georgia wish her well in this new capacity of governmental leadership.
