To the Editor:

On behalf of the State Bar of Georgia, I would like to express congratulations to Laurens County Chief Magistrate Thomas C. Bobbitt III of Dublin on his recent reappointment by Gov. Nathan Deal to the Board of Commissioners of the Magistrates Retirement Fund of Georgia.

The board provides a valuable service by helping county magistrates across the state prepare for retirement and providing support and services associated with their retirement fund. Judge Bobbitt has also served as a municipal court judge for 37 years and is a past president of both the Georgia Council of Magistrate Court Judges and the Georgia Council of Municipal Court Judges.

By accepting this reappointment, Judge Bobbitt demonstrates his continued commitment to serving the public and the justice system. We wish him well in a new term of statewide leadership.

Sincerely,

Kenneth B. Hodges III
President, State Bar of Georgia
